Here is a brief history of our store.
Peters and Foster's business began in May of 1949 when Garland Peters and Dan Foster purchased McGarity's Home and Auto Supply, the local Firestone Store. In addition to the well-known tire brand, the store also carried electric refrigerators, stoves, paints and a wide variety of household goods. They added Maytag washing machines to the product offering which was popular because of their quality and dependability.
Here are a few business milestones.
1970 - Moved from the original location to the old Belks building
1977 - Moved to our present location
1992 - Remodeled our current location and added another 13,000 sq. Ft.
We continued to expand our vision for being the regions best source for stylish and quality furniture. We continued to source and add top furniture manufacturers from around the globe so we could offer more choice in styles and comfort.
In addition to offering the best styles, we also offer home delivery within the counties of Barrow, Gwinnett, Jackson, and Oconee counties. A few of the cities in our delivery area are Monroe, Athens, Bethlehem, Bogart, Loganville, Conyers, Covington, Grayson, Madison, Snellville, Social Circle and Winder.
